Cold compresses

When your baby has a fever, the first step should be to put a wet washcloth on their forehead. As the water evaporates from your baby’s skin, it draws out the fever as well, and the temperature comes down almost immediately. Soak a washcloth in water in a bowl and place on your baby’s forehead. When it is dry, soak it and repeat the process until the fever is no more.

 Brest milk

Breast milk is excellent for babies less than six months when they have a fever. Breast milk balances nutrients that strengthen the weak immune system of your baby and fight baby’s illness. Dehydration leads to complications and delays recovery from fever. When babies have a fever, they refuse many fluids so give them small amounts often. Give oral rehydration as well as lukewarm water to replenish electrolytes and fluids.
